Last week we had Kaylin's winter concert and she was a snowflake and had a speaking part. I had asked her where she would be standing for the concert and she says Her: "Where do you THINK I'm standing?" Me: "The floor again?" Her: "Yes...next year I WILL be on those raisers!" I couldn't help but chuckle! I guess that's what happens when you are one of the shortest. I l like her being on the floor, that means I always get a good view of her and all her animations! *Excuse the crazy video taping and the fact that a kid is standing in front of her for 1/2 of the 1st song. .t's hard to believe we have survived 9 years as parents already. Kaylin is 1/2 way to being old enough to move out on her own, only 5 years until she can legally drive with an adult...growing way to fast! She is still our kind-hearted, caring, loving, imaginative little girl. She would much rather be off playing than reading or doing any sort of school work. She still loves horses and is doing softball again this year. As her "big" birthday present from us this year we gave her money for the horse camp she has been wanting to do this summer. She can't wait! We didn't do a big family birthday party this year, which was probably for the best because it would have been cancelled anyways due to a blizzard across the state. Instead she got to take one friend to Grand Harbor Water Park for the afternoon and we had a great time swimming and playing in the arcade! Here is her 9 year Birthday Interview: Favorite Color: Purple & Orange & Pink Favorite Toy: Doll House, Barbies and Art/Crafts Favorite Fruit: Pears, Apples and Oranges Favorite TV Show: Fuller House Favorite Thing to Eat For Lunch: Rice & Spaghetti Favorite Outfit: Skinny jeans and Tshirts Favorite Game: Clue and Life Favorite Snack: Cheesy Crackers and Candy Favorite Animal: Horse, Okapi & Cardinals Favorite Song: “If the Boot Fits” by Granger Smith Favorite Book: “Little House on the Prairie” series Best Friend: Linden, Lola, Lucas, Cooper and Mavi Favorite Cereal: Frosted Flakes Favorite Thing to do Outside: Swing and play on the trapeze bar Favorite Drink: Apple Cider, Orange Juice & Milk Favorite Holiday: My Birthday & Valentine’s Day Favorite Thing to Take to Bed: Kiki’s & B’s (2 Pink Cats, 1 White Cat, 1 Striped Cat and 4 Tag Blankets- Each Cat has to be wrapped in a “B” with a big tag/ribbon on the back of it’s head….yes, she is a crazy cat lady) Presley Blanket Favorite Thing for Breakfast: Peanut Butter Banana, Granola Bar What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up: A person who works at a Horse Camp who helps people with disabilities ride horses The kids received an archeology dig set from my parents for Christmas. They had a great time with it but it made a giant mess! It would have been a good activity for outdoors in the summer! We celebrated our family Christmas on Christmas Eve and it's safe that the kids had a great Christmas! The kids helped decorate (and eat) sugar cookies for Santa. They also loved decorating their own Rice Crispie Treat trains that our elf, Elvis, brought for them. The kids always look forward to going to see Santa and to give him their wish list! This year's lists included: Kaylin- American girl doll stuff and a new microphone/stand Lucas- Skate board Cooper- Paw Patrol Firetruck Kaylin and I went to the local ballet studio's production of the Nutcracker. I can't wait to make it an annual tradition!
