Last night when I gave the kids a bath, I let the water fill up a little higher than necessary! Lucas saw it as an opportunity to quench his thirst by bending over his bath seat to get a drink, leaving him with some pretty cute bubble "whiskers" :-) He thought it was funny!

Yesterday we had an Easter Egg Hunt with our Mom's group. We had a lot of fun playing at the park and finding the eggs. Lucas obviously didn't really understand, but had fun putting eggs in his basket anyways :-)
Trying to get caught up before my parents come out next week to visit :-) We can't wait! I didn't take my camera home to Iowa, but if I ever get my hands on pictures from family, I will try to post them! After we got home, we bought a patio furniture set since it has been getting nice out! We have already gotten some great use out of it- picnics at lunch, family time outside at night :-) But we also made a big house out of the box for the kids! And with the nice weather, the kids and I have been trying to spend lots of time outside! Our not-so-little baby turned 11 months old last week. I'm late posting this because, as many of you know, we had to make an unplanned trip back to Iowa due to the sudden passing on my Grandma. I took his 11 month picture before we left so I wouldn't forget!
He had been walking pretty regularly before we left, but within a few days he went from "wobbly" to practically running! When he falls down, instead of crawling to furniture to stand up, he has figured out how to stand up in the middle of the room without help! He instantly pops back up to walking and hardly crawls anymore! He has such a personality, while running around the airport between flights he would walk up to people and yell "AH-HA!" to get their attention and laugh. He did really well on the planes (considering how hard it is for him to sit still!). Within the past few days we have noticed him starting to use a few sign language signs- "more" and "all-done". His latest things is when he sees me bring out more food (like fruit that he hasn't gotten yet) he yells at me, trying to indicate that he wants some, we are still working on some manners ;-) He is also gaining quite the temper (which I am not overly fond of!). When I try to take something from him that he isn't suppose to have, he holds on with a death grip and screams, and when I finally conquer his strength, he throws a mini tantrum! Oh boy! I can hardly wait for the toddler years! And right before our trip I noticed he was starting to get his molars, his top 2 have started to pop through. Luckily, he hasn't been too affected by them....yet! Lucas sure is coming into his own.....and turning into a naughty, curious little monkey :-) This week alone, I think he has caused me several small heart attacks! And he isn't even 11 months old! Whew, I'm in for a long road ahead!
