I took some pictures of Cooper one day with my trusty assistant, Lucas. I'm not the best at taking them indoors, but I think they turned out ok! There is another one I have in mind I want to take, I just have to remember to do it! I sure do love this little man!

Just had to share this picture of this handsome boy. He was so proud of his playdough fish from school!
The day after we got back from Colorado, we got to meet our new niece, Ruve. And we got to visit Great Grandpa Hap, so an extra bonus! The beginning of February we spent a week in Breckenridge, Colorado with my parents, and my sister and her family. My brother-in-law's company has a really nice condo there that all the employees have access to rent for a week. We drove out in 2 vans and all the kids did really well, considering it was like 13 hours in the car (the way there we did it in 2 days, and the way back was in one LONG day). The main reason for the trip was for the boys to go snowboarding, but they weren't going to do it everyday or we would be broke! Plus it was my Dad's 60th Birthday while we were out there so we had fun celebrating with him. We found lots of other things to do to keep us busy plus we spent a lot of time hanging out at the condo. Monday we went ice skating for the 1st time, which is a lot harder than it looks!! But the kids had a blast and actually did pretty well. Tuesday we took the kids to the little kids museum in town while Cory and Adam were snowboarding and celebrated Dad's birthday. Wednesday we went to the Rec Center and went swimming. The boys even tested out the outside jacuzzi, and it was only like 5 degrees out....then they made me and Amanda go out too. It was a brisk run to the jacuzzi! That night we went out to a yummy restaurant that had an arcade. The kids had fun playing some games. On Thursday Amanda, Adam, Cory, and my Dad all went out to ski/snowboard so my mom and I decided to take the kids out for a little adventure! We took a bus to ride the gondola. It was pretty fun! The kids loved it, Kaylin told me "This is fun but I'm a little feared!" Haha Friday we went on a little adventure around the town. We first went and checked out the world snow sculpture championships (or something like that). They were really cool! Then we checked out a few of the local shops before heading back for lunch and to start packing up. Before we left I look some pictures of the condo. Kaylin had her winter concert for school at the end of January. The theme was animals so they sang several songs about animals! It was the Kindergarten and 1st grade classes singing together. In the videos, I tried to zoom in on Kaylin as much as I could. She is the adorable little girl in the white sweater and gold skirt, second row from the bottom, 2nd from the right in. She has a little speaking part in between 2 songs that she rocked too :-) (Sorry the videos are a little shaky...it's not easy holding a heavy camera still in the middle of the air!) There it is....the very last bag of my 1200 oz breast milk stash! It was a bitter sweet day using it up (this was several weeks ago, I'm just a bit behind on the blog ;-) )
I was so glad I was able to provide breast milk for Cooper until he was over 1! The only formula he had was what he had to have to get him out and keep him out of the hospital as a newborn with his jaundice issues. I am pretty proud of that! (And my bank account is pretty thankful too). I couldn't have done it without the love and support of Cory, who knew how important it was to me to breast feed our kids! |
