He had a fun day sharing cupcakes at school, having a surprise lunch with Daddy and out to Culver's (his favorite) for supper. He opened up his little present from us, a remote control motorcycle!

He is so loved! Thank you everyone for coming and helping us celebrate our special boy!
He is still a motorcycle/dirt bike lovin' boy! There isn't a day that goes by that he isn't zooming around the house on his little red motorcycle (that he refuses to believe he is too big for)...to the point of where the sound of it's wheel's rattling makes my skin crawl!
He loves watching motocross with Daddy and playing with his little motorcycles/dirt bikes and his "guys". He is enjoying school still, and getting really good at recognizing most of his letters! He can spell his name out loud and has been working really hard on writing it. (And is doing pretty good!) His favorite part of school is playing with his friends Ben and Trevis. He is excited to go to Kaylin's school next fall for Pre-K! He is still pretty shy but has been coming out of his shell more and more. He is excited to play T-ball this summer with Kaylin. (They will be on the same team!)
Now that he is 4, he thinks he knows everything...and is even more stubborn than he was at 3, if that's even possible! He is very independent and rarely asks for help about anything. He is surprisingly good at buttoning his own button-up shirts....at least I think it's pretty impressive! He LOVES being outside, playing on the new playground, riding his bike and playing with Kaylin and the neighbor boy, Dylan.
We may be heading back to the ENT sooner than later, we are still battling adenoid/tonsil issues. Our ENT has expressed in the past that he didn't want to do surgery yet because it didn't seem to be effecting his sleep and causing him too many problems. While I don't think it's urgent, we do think that surgery may be really beneficial. He still sounds "nasally" and we think it is beginning (continuing?) to effect his speech. And even using his nasal spray consistently for the past 2 months, he still is a really loud mouth breather when he sleeps and sometimes makes me nervous to watch him sleep (especially when he has a cold!). As for the tonsils, we have noticed him "slurping" his spit a lot, like he's having a hard time swallowing it so it pools in his mouth. Plus at his last dental visit they actually brought it up to us, noticing excess plaque on his teeth and signs of teeth grinding (which he does do), noting they are both signs of sleep apnea. We had planned to wait until his 4 year check up, which unfortunately isn't until the end of July, to talk to his pediatrician about it but he will likely just say "go back to the ENT". So we may be making that trip sooner than later. I'm only hesitant because I'm afraid he will just put us off again and I don't really want to waste my time, again.
Anyways, enough of my rambling about that...
I can't think of much else right now....my brain is fried from spending practically every waking moment outside!
We are so lucky to be Lucas's parents, he brings us so much love, joy, laughter, and many gray hairs! But we wouldn't trade him for the world!
