Kaylin was singing "Going on a Bear Hunt" to Cooper the other night and he was cracking up. Here is the video... My sister and Claire came to watch Kaylin play t-ball this past weekend. We enjoyed spending time with them! Claire and Cooper are almost the same size, even though she is 6 months older!

Our sweet little Moose is 4 months old now! He had his 4 month check up this morning, and as expected, he is still a MOOSE!! He weighed in at 17 lbs 13.5 oz (93%) and is 27" long (97%). The Dr. said he is growing perfectly and everything looks great! Cooper has a bit of eczema on his face and arms/elbows. The Dr. said he will likely just be prone to sensitive skin and battle this for awhile. Oh well, he's still perfect! He's discovered he has a tongue and is constantly sticking it out and wagging it around. He is rolling from side to side, so I'm sure it won't be long before he rolls to his tummy. He still roles from his tummy to back sometimes, but sometimes I think he is either just being lazy or forgets he can do that! We also put the swing away and got out the jump-a-roo (*sniff*). Our baby is growing up too fast!! We started cereal the other night, which he loves :-) We still can't quite decide what colors his eyes are. Lately they are a little brown around the center and bluer on the outside, kind of like his Daddy's (which makes Daddy very happy!!) His personality is really starting to show, all you have to do is just look at him and he will crack a smile and laugh. He is such a social butterfly. If he's playing on his own while I am making supper, etc. he will start fussing but the second you talk to him, he lights up and smiles! He absolutely completes our family! Here is Cooper 4 Month Bongo picture plus a few others. We decided to sign Kaylin up for T-ball this spring. She had her 1st practice/game this last weekend. The first 30 minutes they have a practice where they do different drills with the kids of the other team. Then they play a 45 minute game following practice. Each child get to bat in each "inning" and each team gets to bat and be in the outfield 2 times in a game. It was like watching a bunch of chickens running around with their heads chopped off haha! It was so adorable and entertaining! Kaylin was doing a great job of trying to chase after the balls and hitting the ball off the tee. She kept looking over at us and waving. The first time she batted in the game she didn't know she had to run to 1st base and she just kind of took her time walking there, and then when the next kid batted and she was suppose to run to 2nd she began running to the pitchers mound in the middle of the field! (Needless to say we went and bought some bases to practice on ;-) ) Towards the end of the game she was loosing interest and got a little bored and tired. The last time she batted the ball went straight out and about 5 boys came running at her (to get the ball) so she just froze and stared at them in fear and decided to just walk back to the dugout without running the bases. It was too funny! I asked her if she had fun and she said yes and that she can't wait for next week! So we will see if she does better with sticking with it this week. Here's a video of her 1st time up to bat. My kids are so lucky to have such a fun dad! He is always willing to go above and beyond to make them happy and entertain them....this was last week's adventure! They can't wait for him to mow again so they can get another ride! And here you have sweet little Cooper, he fell asleep in his swing like this :-)
I finally remembered to take Lucas's 3 year Pongo pictures. I took him to the Dr. last week to have them check his adenoids/tonsils because we have noticed lately that he seems to struggle with breathing at night when he is asleep and snores a lot more. His sleep patterns have also changed and it has been pointed out by family members that he sounds kind of "nasal-y" when he talks, which I guess we hadn't really noticed before because we were just used to it, but now I notice it a lot. The Dr. looked at his tonsils and said they are a bit big and with all the things I've told him, they referred us to the ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat Dr.). So we go at the end of the month to have it looked at by the specialist to see if anything needs to be done about it. We will keep you all posted :-)
Papa Mark and Grandma Chele came and stayed with us for a long weekend at the end of April. We enjoyed the extra time with them! Cory and Papa Mark took the older 2 to the movies one day, we all went and rode on the 4th Street Elevator and went to Eagle Point Park to see the lock and dam on the Mississippi River. We were hoping to spot some Eagles but had no luck. The 4th Street Elevator is supposedly the shortest and steepest railroad in the world which was built by a man a long time ago who wanted a shorter way to get to and from work so he could nap on his lunch break ;-) It was a great weekend with beautiful weather! |
