The kids received an archeology dig set from my parents for Christmas. They had a great time with it but it made a giant mess! It would have been a good activity for outdoors in the summer!

We celebrated our family Christmas on Christmas Eve and it's safe that the kids had a great Christmas! The kids helped decorate (and eat) sugar cookies for Santa. They also loved decorating their own Rice Crispie Treat trains that our elf, Elvis, brought for them. The kids always look forward to going to see Santa and to give him their wish list! This year's lists included: Kaylin- American girl doll stuff and a new microphone/stand Lucas- Skate board Cooper- Paw Patrol Firetruck Kaylin and I went to the local ballet studio's production of the Nutcracker. I can't wait to make it an annual tradition!
Kaylin did basketball again this fall/winter. I finally remembered to bring my camera for the last 2 games! At Thanksgiving time, we took the opportunity of everyone being together to get some updated cousin pictures! Nana also wanted some updated pictures with the kids. It's hard to believe Cooper is now 4! It seems like he was just born and the baby of the family in no longer baby! He is growing into a very independent, goofy, sweet, sassy and smart little boy! He knows how to spell his name and is working on learning how to write it (he gets "Coop" pretty well, "er" are a work in progress!). He can match most of the upper and lower case letters and is beginning to be able to name several of them. He is still going to his 3 year preschool 2 times a week and enjoys it, although he will tell you otherwise. He loves playing outside, with Legos, cars, and doing anything his brother and sister are doing. His favorite thing to do is snuggle his best buddy, Maverick. Here is his 4 Year Birthday Interview: Favorite Color: Orange Favorite Toy: Puzzles and Paw Patrol Favorite Fruit: Apples and applesauce Favorite TV Show: Blaze and the Monster Machines Favorite Thing to Eat For Lunch: Chicken Nuggets and Macaroni Favorite Outfit: Sweatpants Favorite Game: Shark Game Favorite Snack: Fruit Snacks Favorite Animal: Zebras Favorite Song: Freeze Dance Favorite Book: A Taste for Cherry Pie Best Friend: Lucas, Kaylin, Mavi-Moo, Daddy and Mommy Favorite Cereal: Cinnamon Toast crunch Favorite Thing to do Outside: Playing with car, Bikes and scooter Favorite Drink: Chocolate Milk Favorite Holiday: Santa and presents (Christmas) Favorite Thing to Take to Bed: 3 Gerry’s and G’s (stuffed giraffes and tag blankets) and blankie Favorite Thing for Breakfast: Hot chocolate and donuts What Do You Want to Be When You Grow Up: Dirt bike rider and a Daddy and play in the snow His birthday was on a Wednesday so we planned to have a big celebration on the weekend. He did open his presents from us on his birthday and we made birthday smoothies after swimming lessons that night. We had a birthday party planning back in Jefferson with our families, but a snowstorm was forecasted for Friday afternoon/night when we were suppose to be driving home and we decided to cancel the party to be safe. We ended up having 5+ inches of snow that night so it was probably a good call. Instead we spent the weekend making him feel special and loved! On Saturday we played outside in the fresh snow and went sledding down our hill next to the house and we had pizza and cake/ice cream that night. On Sunday we went to the movie of his choice, Spiderman Into the Spider Verse. He drank his weight in Icee and was a happy birthday boy! It was kind of nice not doing a big party! |
