We got home from the hospital on Wednesday, February 24th. We were excited, yet a little nervous to introduce Kaylin to Gizmo and Presley! At first they were so excited to see Mom home that they didn't even notice what Dad had! Cory got down on the floor with Kaylin and let them come up to smell her. They were in love! They were both so good, they just sat next to Cory and waited for permission to smell her. Gizmo showed interest but quickly walked away, which we expected! Presley on the other hand was completely engrossed with her. He is so gentle and caring with her and loves to give her kisses. Anytime she makes a sound he is on his feet in seconds to make sure she is okay. We constantly find him in her room staring at her in her crib or sitting in the rocking chair watching over her. He is her guardian angel and now has something to live for! (By the way, Presley has been feeling really well lately. We go back next week for another check-up to see where his counts are at.)

Bridget was having contractions irregular and constant starting around 4:30 PM on February 21, 2010. She continued to have irregular contractions for the remainder of the day until around 11:00 PM. This is when the contractions became stronger and were bouncing from 5 to 9 minutes.
At midnight we called Chad and had him come over to take care of the dogs and we arrived at the hopsital just before 1:00 AM. She was checked in at 3 cm dilated and 95% effaced. Bridget was given the option for medication that would help her relax and rest better during the contractions and she was unsure about taking it. I told her she needed the rest for future events and we were glad she took them. She slept in between all her contraction and two hours later she felt like she needed to push so we had her checked and she was 8 cm dilated and 100% effaced. They broke her water and she went from 8 cm to 10 cm within a half hour. At 6:00 AM Bridget was allowed to push whenever she felt the need. Just over an hour later our baby girl came into the world. Kaylin Marie Ott was born February 22, 2010 at Mary Greeley Medical Center at 7:19 AM. She was 7 lbs 13oz and 20 1/2 in long. For pictures of Kaylin and her new family look at the page titled Kaylin Pics. Today we had our 38 week Dr. appointment. We found out that we are 1 cm dialated, 70-80% effaced and Kaylin is sitting at -1 station (which means she is sitting lower in the pelvis!) We are making progress and can't wait for her to be here! We go back next Tuesday for our next appointment, if we don't have her by then!! We aren't going to get our hopes up, or at least we will try not to!
